The Empowerment Project is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing
refugees with the essential life skills and tools they need to rebuild their lives with confidence,
despite the challenges they face as a result of conflict, war, and displacement.
We believe that
empowering refugees with essential tools and skills is not just a humanitarian imperative,
but also an investment in their future and the future of their communities.
By providing them
with the resources they need to thrive, we can help them build a brighter future for themselves
and their families, even in the face of adversity.
LearnForHope is a non-profit organization that creates e-learning content to provide
education to refugees.
With the mission of empowering refugees through education, LearnForHope offers courses in various subjects,
including languages, computer skills, and job training.
The organization's online platform allows refugees
to access educational resources anytime, anywhere, providing them with a valuable opportunity to improve
their skills and knowledge. By breaking down barriers to education, LearnForHope aims to support refugees
in building better futures for themselves and their families.

Fundraising for Operation #NotForgotten began in August 2019, initiated by Laurie Cooper of Canada Caring Society, and the first applications were lodged in December 2019. As at December 2022:
As at December 2022, just under 1,300 people remain in Australia’s offshore processing arrangements – 75 in Nauru, 92 in Papua New Guinea and around 1,130 medically evacuated to Australia. Those evacuated to Australia remain in community detention or are living on Final Departure Bridging Visas, with no access to a financial safety net. The Australian Government policy (supported by both the recently elected Labor government and the Liberal-National opposition) is that refugees from this group will not be allowed to settle permanently in Australia.
The case for supporting Operation #BridgeofHope is explained in two short videos:
